Description
Two boxers, PURPLE and GREEN, face each other in a side view of the ring. Push the stick toward your opponent to step in and any other way to step back. The button with up and toward throws a jab, which scores 5 and takes 5 energy; with down and toward it throws a hook to the body, which scores 10 and takes 10. The button alone raises the guard. A punch lands only on a boxer who is in reach and neither punching nor guarding, and punching into a guard costs extra energy. Energy drains with every punch and slowly comes back. A boxer hit while low on energy goes down for a count, and ten is a knockout. Otherwise the higher score wins after three rounds. One player can face a computer GREEN at two skill levels.
Controls: Controller 1 plays PURPLE, on the left facing right, and controller 2 plays GREEN; in a one-player game controller 1 plays PURPLE. On the title, up and down choose a line, left and right change it, and a button starts.

From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, March 1987: original Commodore 64 program (no author named in the issue). Header cites the Gazette disk for March 1987 rather than a printed listing; it may be a disk-only program. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
