Description
Two karateka face off in a ring, one in a white gi on the left and one in a black gi on the right. Walk in and out. The button with the stick toward the other fighter punches; with toward-and-up it kicks; with toward-and-down it sweeps the feet. The button with any other direction blocks. A move that reaches the other fighter while he is neither attacking nor blocking knocks him down for 100 points. A block stops a punch or a kick but not a foot sweep. Ten knockdowns, 1000 points, win, and a 90-second match clock decides by score at time-out. Let the button go between moves: pressed again too quickly, the fighter freezes. One player can face a computer black belt at EASY or NORMAL.
Controls: Use the joysticks. Player 1, white, uses controller 1 and player 2, black, controller 2; in a one-player game white plays on either controller. On the title, up and down choose and a button starts; on COMPUTER, a button or left and right switch EASY and NORMAL.
