Description
A murder mystery of logic. Lord Crumbly has been shot at his country house, and five other people are staying there. The murderer is the only one who had a motive, a gun and the opportunity. Grill the household: each time, one of them tells you something about another. One of the five is a compulsive liar who always says the opposite of the truth, and nobody tells you who. A CASEBOOK records every statement heard, page by page for each suspect. Accuse when you are sure; a wrong accusation and you are framed for the murder yourself. A game is five cases, and the end shows the cases solved, the clues used and a rank.
Controls: Use the joystick and side buttons. Up and down move the cursor over GRILL THE SUSPECTS, CASEBOOK and ACCUSE, and either button chooses. In the casebook, left and right turn the pages and a button goes back. When accusing, left and right move the magnifying glass, the left button accuses, and the right button goes back.
ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, July 1985: original Commodore 64 program (no author named in the issue). This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
