Description
A four-in-a-row strategy game against the computer on a rack of eight slots, each eight places deep. Choose a slot and your piece drops to the lowest free place in it. You win with four of your pieces in a line, across, up and down or diagonally, or by putting a piece in the top row, marked in red; the computer wins the same ways, so the top row matters as much as any line. Before each game you choose who goes first and the level, from 1 to 4, which sets how many moves the computer looks ahead; at level 4 it can think for a few seconds. A match is first to three games, with the score shown.
Controls: Use controller 1. Push left or right to choose a slot and press a button to drop the piece. In the menus, up and down choose a line, left and right change it, and a button picks.
ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, August 1986: original Commodore 64 program (no author named in the issue). This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
