Description

The snap snake lives in a den in the middle of a field of brick blocks. Push the stick and it grows out of its hole a cell at a time along the passages, up, down, left or right; hold a button and it snaps back. Eat the white eggs hidden among the blocks for 50 points each; frogs are worth 100 times the level, and a jewel is a mystery worth 200 to 1000. Rats run round and round the open lanes, and a rat that touches any part of the snake bites it: three snakes in all. Clear every egg for new eggs, new wall colours and faster rats.

Controls: Controller 1 (or 2): the stick grows the snake, either button pulls it back.

ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From Ahoy! magazine, June 1988, page 43: original Commodore 64 program by Cleveland M. Blakemore. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
