Description
An educational spelling game. Choose easy, medium or hard words; each list holds 25. A word appears on a card for a moment and is hidden, and you spell it back by picking letters from a grid of the alphabet, then picking the return arrow to check it. The red X wipes what you have picked so you can start the word again at no cost. You start with 75 points and every wrong spelling costs one and shows the word again; after three wrong tries the correct spelling is typed out letter by letter and the next word comes. A bee hovers by the letter you are on. After the 25th word the game asks WASN'T THAT FUN? and shows your score.
Controls: Use either controller. The stick moves around the letter grid and either button picks a letter, the red X or the return arrow. The keypad is not used.
ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, December 1983: original Commodore 64 program (no author named in the issue). This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
