Description
You are trapped inside the Power Grid, a tilted lattice of diamond-shaped nodes joined by wires, and somewhere in one of them your Commodore 64 is hidden. The SONAR line grows shorter as you get closer. Walk the wires: each side of a node you walk for the first time is worth 10 points, and a node whose four sides you have walked is boxed in blue. Box the node where the 64 hides to find it and earn a bonus for every node you left unboxed. Power spikes roam the wires, and touching one costs a life; you start with five, and STAMINA shows those in reserve. Each new grid adds a spike, from two up to seven. Speed and EASY or HARD are chosen before play.
Controls: Use either joystick. The grid is tilted, so the stick is too: up goes up-right, right goes down-right, down goes down-left and left goes up-left. The right button pauses. Before a game, up and down set the speed (1 to 9), left and right choose EASY or HARD, and the left button starts. The keypad is not used.
ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, December 1983, page 74: original Commodore 64 program by Eric Brandon. Built from the article's rules; the machine-language program was not used. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
