Description

A word-guessing game show for one to three players over four rounds, with a hidden phrase on the board each round. On your turn, spin the wheel: a ball rolls round twenty boxes of cash values, Bankrupt and Lose a Turn. Land on a value and pick a consonant; you earn the value for each time it appears in the phrase, but a letter that is not there ends your turn. Bankrupt wipes out this round's money. You can also buy a vowel for $250, or try to solve; a correct solution banks the round's money, at least $200. After four rounds the richest player goes to the bonus round, where five consonants and a vowel are revealed and solving wins $10,000. Phrases come from the original's own list, never repeated within a game.

Controls: Either controller. On the menus, the stick up and down and a button choose. On the letter board, the stick moves the frame and the left button picks a letter. Hold the button to wind up the wheel and release it to spin. When solving, the right button takes the last letter back.

ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From Ahoy! No. 39, March 1987: original Commodore 64 program by Richard Bain. The original, "Wheel of Fortune", is a COMAL 0.14 program on the flip side of the issue's disk; not found in the printed magazine. The TV show's name and look are not used. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
