Sub Attack

Two submarines duel in a mined sea against the clock. Steer your sub in eight directions and fire torpedoes straight ahead, or diagonally when the stick is held that way. Hitting the other sub scores 5. A destroyer crosses the surface every few seconds and drops depth charges on any sub it passes over; torpedoing it scores 3 and sinks it, but surfacing under it gives your opponent 5, and a depth charge that catches you gives them 3. Twelve mines float at random in the sea, and touching one gives your opponent a point. After any hit both subs go back to their starting corners. Set the speed to slow, medium or fast and the time to 1, 3 or 5 minutes; when time runs out the higher score wins. Play a friend or a computer sub.

Controls: Joystick only. The stick steers your sub in eight directions; either button fires a torpedo, and holding it fires again once the torpedo is spent. In a one-player game either joystick steers the yellow sub on the left; with two players joystick 1 steers the left sub and joystick 2 the right sub.
