Description
Two survivors duel in a city of 8 x 6 blocks full of monsters. Blue starts in the top-left corner and green in the bottom-right; each has five lives and ten shots a round. Walk the streets and fire the way you last walked. Four monsters wander out from the centre, and a monster, the hunter or a shot that touches a survivor kills him; a shot that meets a monster sends it back to the centre. Bonus signs appear on empty streets and fade: SWAP changes the survivors' places, SPEED doubles your pace, SHOTS refills your shots while you stand on it, and HUNTER sends a hunter that shots cannot stop after your rival. The last one with lives is the SURVIVOR; if both fall together, nobody survives. One player can face the computer.
Controls: Controller 1 walks the blue survivor and controller 2 the green one; in ONE PLAYER mode either controller walks blue. The stick walks and either button fires. On the title, push up and down to choose a line and press a button.
ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, March 1986: original Commodore 64 program (no author named in the issue). The original machine code also ran on the Commodore Plus/4 and 16. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
