Description

A clock, not a game: it tells the time the way the plastic rolling-ball clocks do. You set the time, and every minute a ball rides an elevator up the right side, runs along the top and drops onto the minute rack. The fifth ball tips that rack and goes on to the five-minute rack, while the other four roll down a chute to the bottom. The twelfth five-minute ball moves on to the hour rack, and the thirteenth hour ball empties it back to one o'clock. Read the hour on the bottom rack, then add the five-minute and minute racks. Thirty balls are in the clock, and a fast mode runs a minute every four seconds so you can watch the racks fill and tip.

Controls: Use either joystick. Set the time with the stick and the button, and press the button again while the clock runs to set it again. The stick turns the sound off and on, and the title offers a fast mode.

ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a faithful adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, July 1983, page 74: original VIC-20 program by Joseph D. Wright. Not a game: a rolling-ball clock program. The listing is headed 'Rolling-Ball Clock'. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
