Description
A memory game for two players, or one against the computer. Twelve numbered squares, three across and four down, hide six pairs of three-letter words such as CAT, HAT and INK. On your turn, open one square and then another. If the two words are the same it is a MATCH: you score a point, both squares fill with your colour, red for player 1 and green for player 2, and you go again. If not, it is NO MATCH: the squares close and the other player takes a turn. Remember what has been shown, since every opened square is a clue for both players. After the sixth pair the game is over and the player with the most pairs wins, or it is a tie. The computer opponent remembers only some of what it sees.
Controls: Use either joystick. The stick slides the cursor between squares and either button opens one. On the title, the stick chooses PLAYER 1 / PLAYER 2 or PLAYER 1 / COMPUTER and a button starts.
ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, October 1983: original Commodore 64 program (no author named in the issue). The same game was printed for the Commodore 64 and the VIC-20. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
