How to identify it
A hinged plastic clamshell, like CBS4, but the shell is black rather than one of the four CBS4 colours. The square insert behind the lid carries the title in English and Spanish and a black band at the foot reading VIDEO GAME CARTRIDGE FOR CBS COLECOVISION / CARTUCHO PARA SISTEMA CBS COLECOVISION.
Spain got the ColecoVision late and got it in plastic. Instead of a printed carton, CBS supplied a hinged clamshell with the artwork on a square insert behind the lid and the game title given in both English and Spanish. CBS4 works the same way, and the two are told apart by the shell: CBS4 was moulded in green, red, blue and yellow for Australia, and CBS5 in black for Spain. Where CBS4’s insert is grey and English only, CBS5’s is bilingual. They are the hardest of the official packaging to find complete. The plastic survives; the insert usually does not, and a clamshell missing its artwork page is worth a fraction of one that still has it.
